Taskbar right-click menu Issues – How to fix it?

Does the right click menu play a hide and seek on Windows 8 PC? Many folks out there have been digging out to know what is making the taskbar menu to disappear at times or appears for a split microseconds’ and disappears even without accessing it. However, there is always a way out. In this tutorial we will be discussing about how to fix issues with the right click menu.

Be it taskbar right click menu or windows right click menu, sometimes the menu lags or disappears even before we hit it. If you are the one encountering similar issues, then try out the fixes discussed ahead in the article.

Firstly, check if similar problem persists in Safe Mode. Boot Windows in Safe mode and try out the right click in safe mode. If the problem doesn’t appear or the taskbar menu behaving normally then try out the next steps.

Try running system file checker. Open elevated command prompt (Admin) and in the command box type in sfc/ scannow command and hit enter. This will fix any corrupted files on the system and might be culprit behind right menu issue.

Next try Clean boot in Windows PC. To perform clean boot, open RUN dialog and type in msconfig and hit enter. This will system configuration and there hit the Boot tab. Next uncheck the option Safe boot.

Next move to Services tab, click on the option saying Hide all Microsoft services and hit on Disable all

Next select Open Task Manager option is startup tab and click on all startup item which are enabled and hit Disable

Finally hit OK and Restart your PC.
