We know that Windows 8 offers 2 operating interface, i.e. metro start screen and the other one is the desktop mode. To begin with, go to Desktop mode and right click on the taskbar of Desktop and go to Toolbars and select New Toolbar.

In the windows that appears, copy and paste the following in the field provided C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu where username should be replaced by your username

Next Select Folder.

Once you have completed all the steps you can now see that Start menu has been created and added to your taskbar.
